I’m going to be moving web and mail hosts for all my domains sometime in the next few days, so there will be downtime. I’m very, very sorry. I know you need this blog to get through your day.
Slight change of plans: Selecting a different host, still moving, but probably less traumatic.
Oh god. It’s another blog in Helvetica with cryptic and industrial-looking iconography.
Every time I restyle, I have a conundrum with links. I can never decide on criteria for who/what I link to. Do I link to blogs I find interesting? Do I link to friends’ sites? Do I link to other places you can find me on the Web? I’ve also thought about making a People and Things I’ve Linked To page to keep it all in one place without cluttering up the sidebar.
What are you thoughts on links?
I’m going to be tinkering here for the next couple of days. If things look weird, DON’T BE ALARMED. Well, maybe be a little alarmed.
I just unfollowed a bunch of people on twitter. If I unfollowed you, no hard feelings. I just could not keep track of 160 people in tiny boxes all day, and if I had not talked with you over twitter for a while, well, I haven’t talked with you over twitter. I do read blogs and tumblrs and such, and am on IM pretty much constantly, and it is possible I have talked with you there.
But, I like to think we are more complex than little boxes, and I have gotten a little overwhelmed with the amount of information I have to digest on a daily basis.
And you know what? If you go to my twitter page, it links right to this here blog, and there is a form through which you can email me. Also, if you Google me (“Devon Persing” or “viscousplatypus”) you find me, because as far as I can tell I’m the only Devon Persing with web stuff all over the place, and I am the only viscousplatypus. If you need me, you know where to find me.
I added search to the sidebar, because analytics told me someone was using site:viscousplatypus.net on Google. (Oh, yes. I saw you.)

New place is pretty damn nice. Will post pictures once things are better arranged. And there is furniture.
