Desktop Mail Client Cage Match
I was a Thunderbird user before I did the switcheroo, and I like it, so I kept using it. Didn’t even really look at it. (I’m also a fan of Firefox and, on the Mac, Camino, and I started using Mozilla long before.) So two Macs later I was still using Thunderbird, mostly out of habit.
Then a friend got a new MacBook Pro and was setting it all up and tried Mail, and liked it. I was tempted. I tried it. Love. Spotlight integration? Hello, nurse.
What mail client do you use? Do you like it? What others have you tried?
Original pre-move comment from Brian:
Apple Mail. I hate it. Too much work to switch to
something else, e.g. I am not going to switch back to Pine and gmail isn’t actually all that great.http://harnly.net/software/letterbox/ Letterbox is superb if you are stuck inside Apple Mail though.

Until my linux box died a tragic death, I still used pine. Lightweight. No frills. Had my hands trained to all the keystrokes.Until I get a new linux box up and running, I’ve just been using gmail.
Original pre-move comment from gazbeirne:
I just use Apple Mail because I’m a bit simple and it just goddam works.
Original pre-move comment from me:
Gaz, I think you’ve just come up with Apple’s new slogan.
Original pre-move comment from gazbeirne:
I am a wise, wise man.
